We are a small group of moms who have children born with a congential heart defect and we call ourselves 'Heartmoms'.
In February 2005 we held our first coffee morning with only four moms and kids, and so our little group started.
We are now 12 moms strong and growing. We meet once a month in each others homes for our get-togethers. Our group is great not only for us moms to vent and discuss everything from feeding issues, medicines, doctors visits, oxygen levels but for our children to play together.
This group is more than a support group, they are my extended family. I know that the friends I have made in this special group will last a lifetime.
I read once that there is nothing good about HLHS, but good will come from it, how true!
